Wastewater

The City of Seminole owns and operates the city’s wastewater collection system. The wastewater collection system refers to the network of pipes, pumps and infrastructure that collects used water (sewage) from homes and businesses. The collection system transports wastewater to a central location for treatment ensuring proper disposal and preventing contamination of natural water bodies.  In Texas the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) oversees wastewater systems ensuring they function effectively, safeguarding both public health and the environment.

Staff oversees the general maintenance and construction duties as required for the installation, maintenance and repair of the city’s wastewater collection system, including wastewater mains, service lines, service connections, pumps, and manholes.
