The Code Enforcement Department is responsible for maintaining the safety, health and property of residents through routine code inspections ensuring properties comply with local ordinances and building codes. This includes inspecting residential and commercial buildings, addressing zoning violations, and following up on complaints about junk vehicles, overgrown yards, and unsanitary conditions. This helps to prevent safety hazards, preserve property values, and promote a clean and attractive city for the residents of Seminole.

This department also issues permits for building, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical projects and conducts inspections for all permitted work.
