CHIEF OF POLICE ANNOUNCES RESIGNATION
Seminole, Texas – The City of Seminole announces the resignation of Chief of Police Kristopher Marvel, who has served the Seminole Police Department with distinction in the last month. Chief Marvel will step down from the position effective 11/17/2024.
In a statement regarding his resignation, Chief Marvel shared:
“Serving as the Chief of Police for the City of Seminole has been a great honor. I have worked alongside some of the most dedicated and talented individuals in law enforcement, and I am immensely proud of the progress we have made together in serving and protecting our community. After much reflection, I have decided that it is the right time for me to step aside and allow new leadership to build on our successes.”
During his tenure, Chief Marvel led the department through several significant initiatives, including adding the Axon camera systems, tasers, drones, updated internet, and online Police One Training Program.
The City of Seminole will begin the process of identifying a new Chief of Police.
