Structure and Responsibilities

The City Council is the governing body of the City of Seminole, operating under the authority of the City Charter. The Council consists of a Mayor and six councilmembers.

Responsibilities of the Council:

  • To appoint the City Administrator to oversee the day-to-day operations and services of the City of Seminole.
  • Adopt the annual budget and fiscal plan
  • Set the tax rate
  • Establish city policies
  • Consider city ordinances and resolutions
